3. Challenging Close. You could conclude a speech about the importance of action by saying: Let’s make people participants instead of spectators. Recall the words of U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt, which said that it was better to try mighty feats and to achieve great victories even when they have were met with failure than to stay in the shadows of those who suffer little or no joy. They live in a gray world where there is neither victory nor defeat. There is far too much work ahead of us to be content to sit back and watch.
