How Do You Pray For Fathers? [RESOLVED!]

We pray, Lord, for Fathers in our Land. Your Word clearly instructs fathers to bring up their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4) πŸ™ˆ God, we thank You for the men who are leading according to Your statutes and the ones that are laying their lives down for Your purposes πŸ˜‰ They pray for Your continued use of these men as leaders in their families and among other men. We trust that You will provide strength for our nation’s fathers. Also, we pray that churches, organisations, and individuals will be able to support fatherhood and invest in it for the benefit of all children. [1]
For those seeking to follow you through dark places, or for people who need reminders that you’re real, we ask for your favor favorr, and strength. Your renewed courage and boldness are needed. We pray for the filling of your Spirit. Keep them alert and aware of all the evil plans of the enemy. Your protection and firmness will help them keep on their path. We ask that you would help them to always stand strong, to be men of faith, to say β€œno” to what is wrong, and to say β€œyes” to what is right. You are asked to fill their hearts and lives with compassion, love, joy, loyalty, goodness, and peace. [2]

Our fathers should be strengthened as they provide for our families and our communities. We pray that their example will reflect your protection for us all. Our prayers go out to you for all fathers that have passed, so that they may be reunited with your unconditional love. These men’s sons and daughters, may we always honourr them with gratitude, and remember them in prayer. You can view this prayer card by clicking here. [3]

God of Love! I’m coming before you to offer prayers for my dad. You only know the extent of his suffering and how much he’s was hurting and broken. Because I could not have a great relationship with him, I’m feeling so down and angry at times. You are the only person I want to be able to look up to my dad for the rest of my lives. Your mercy is something I’m knowing. Please forgive him and bring him healing. I ask that you allow him to be forgiven. I desire to forgive him and feel the freedom to let go of the hurts. He is my priority and I am praying for his well-being. He should get to know you, and feel your unconditional love. In your tender embrace, may his wounds heal one day. Heart be healed. [4]

Excellent report. This is how we show Creator God our gratitude for our fathers. Reality teaches us that not all fathers can be successful. We ask for Your blessings for them all – and forgiveness where it is needed. This Father’s Day we remember the many sacrifices fathers make for their children and families, and the ways – both big and small – they lift children to achieve dreams thought beyond reach. So too, we remember all those who have helped fill the void when fathers pass early or are absent – grandfathers and uncles, brothers and cousins, teachers, pastors and coaches – and the women of our families. We ask for wisdom, humility and compassion from fathers who face the responsibility of raising children. Your strength will enable them to be good parents for their children. Our prayers are for You, God, in Your Holy Name. Amen- Rev. Chuck Currie [5]
