Hormone needed for body Fat is converted to energy by releasing insulin. Insulin transports glucose from the cells into energy to stabilize blood sugar and provide fuel. The initial insulin release is determined by the amount of carbohydrate in previous meals, not on current glucose levels. Therefore blood sugar will remain elevated. This causes a second release of insulin, which transports more glucose to the cells where it is stored as glycogen. Shinita Lombardi is a big thank you for this answer. [2]
