(Solved) What Is The Maximum Speed Of 3g Network?

All these are automatically handled for you when using Speedcheck 😊 But you should take one crucial aspect into account to test speed accurately 😊 Choose the right tool. This depends on the device you want to use, being a phone or tablet, or a computer. To check internet speed on a computer, use your browser and the app on this website. To achieve accurate results on mobile devices, you should download our iOS or Android app, respectively. This is especially important when running a WiFi speeding test. Because browsers on mobile devices have poor performance, we suggest using a mobile app written in native code to ensure the most accurate speed test results. [1]
When 3G networks first came online in 2002, it was like trading a Ford Taurus in for a Formula One car. The average speed of 3G connections is 3 megabits per second (Mbps), which was 30 times faster than 2G average speed of 100 kilobits per second (or 0.1 Mbps). Some 3G connections could achieve speeds of 7Mbps. 3G networks kept features introduced in 2G such as web browsing, streaming, SMS, and roaming, while also offering improved connectivity, speed, and call quality. Although Motorola and Nokia released 3G capable phones as early as 2002, it was not widely adopted as the standard until 2008. The most notable moment was the release of Apple’s second iPhone, the iPhone 3G. [2]

When you buy a mobile phone somewhere in the specs it will tell you if it’s 2G, 3G, or 4G, or a combination of all of these. The G in these phrases simply refers to “generation.” 2G is the oldest tech, 3G came along a little later, and 4G is the current top of the line tech. 2G service was the basic service that allowed us to have mobile phones in the first place. A 2G only phone will be slow, but it will be able to make calls and send texts, though it had won’t be able to access the internet as we know it. (a massive thank you to Chuong Quigley from Benin City, Nigeria for highlighting this). [4]
