Definition: All-latex mattresses can be constructed of synthetic latex, natural latex, or a blend of the two 😉 There are two main types of natural latex: Dunlop latex and Talalay latex 👍 There are differences between the latex types due to their different manufacturing processes 👍 Dunlop is usually denser and more durable, while Talalay tends to be bouncier and more breathable.Highlight: Contouring Without Sinkage. Pressure points can be relieved by latex contouring. Rather than compressing exclusively under your weight, the compression is spread out over a wider surface area, which may make you feel like you’re are floating on top of the mattress rather than sinking into the mattress. It is an individual decision that will determine the right mattress for you. You’ll need to consider your sizeYour weight, sleeping position, and preference are all important. You’ll also have to consider whether you have any back issues, as a firmer mattress may help to provide you with additional support. The tension of a mattress usually falls into three main groups – soft, medium and firm. As well as these you’ll also have variations including medium-firm and extra firm. You will need to consider your weight before you can choose the right level of support. A person weighing around 10 stones will have a difficult time finding a firm mattress. For someone weighing 18 stones, a firm mattress may not offer enough support. Medium-firm mattresses are a great choice if you need more support, but prefer a soft feel. Mattress or firm mattress with a soft mattress topper. (Last revised 11 days ago, by Levina Linton of Liling in China). [2]

Brook + Wilde probably isn’t a name you’re familiar with, unless you follow the mattress world as enthusiastically as me. Expert testers gave the Lux Soft mattress the thumbs-up in 2019, although they also tested the firmer version. Good Housekeeping also gave their approval. It uses springs and foam and is one of those ‘bed in a box’ mattresses which expand in your bedroom. The 2000-spring mini springs are complemented by 1000 large pocket springs that provide ample support. Pocket springs are far superior to the old fashioned ‘open coil’ springs that you get on a cheap mattress. We are grateful to Devita Courtney, Khon Kaen (Thailand) for sharing this information. [4]
