The first rule of suit alterations is that taking away or reducing the amount of fabric is doable, but you can’t make something bigger, at least not by much 😊 Exactly how much depends on what allowances of extra material were under the seams or hems of the garments 😁 Jackets and pants tailored to a particular size or price will have more room, allowing for future growth 👍 To keep costs low, cheaper items are usually made from less material. Therefore, you’ll have better chances for a successful alteration if your find is a bit too big rather than too small for you. 
You can have a new inner lining put into an old jacket by Reline Jacket. You may have had it worn once before, or the jacket has seen some wear. You may want to have a jacket lined if the jacket is still in great condition. In other words, the design and size of the jacket isn’t working well Be aware of your measurements. This can be corrected by taking one size bigger and not having to alter a complicated part of the jacket. Our number one tip for avoiding alterations in the jacket’s upper section is not to alter it.
